There is another threat that adds to all the difficulties fish face struggling to live and survive in our waters.

Predatory birds like the cormorant or the merganser have proliferated in the last decades and have multiplied their numbers.

Many species of fish in Germany are at risk of extinction. Fish-eating birds impose a severe threat to the fragile fish stocks.
